FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The questions people ask before hiring us, answered plainly and grouped by topic. Anything missing can be asked on WhatsApp or by email, and the answer may well end up here.
The short version
What do most people want to know first?
Quotes are free, written and fixed for the scope they describe. Most websites take three to eight weeks from approval, and campaigns and automations usually go live within one to three. You own every account, file and line of code. We work with clients in Guwahati in person and everywhere else remotely, and support after launch is optional.
Starting out
Starting out
Where most conversations begin. None of it needs technical knowledge: describing the problem in your own words is the best start, and working out which service fixes it is our job. These answers cover what to prepare, who to involve and what the first steps cost.
What should I prepare before contacting you?
Nothing formal. A sentence on what the business does, what you’d like to change and any deadline is enough. Links to your current website or social pages help us come to the first call with useful questions. If you have figures, such as monthly enquiries or ad spend, bring them; if not, we’ll estimate them together.
Do I need to know which service I need?
No. Describe the symptom, such as too few enquiries or too many hours spent answering the same questions, and we’ll suggest where to start. The cheapest fix is often somewhere other than where the problem shows: a slow reply process, for instance, can lose more enquiries than a weak website.
How long does it take to get a quote?
Usually two to five working days after the first conversation, depending on how much there is to look at, such as an existing site or ad account. A simple job can be quicker. If we need to see inside an account to quote accurately, we’ll ask for a read-only invitation rather than a password.
Does the first conversation cost anything?
No. The first conversation and the written quote are free and commit you to nothing. You pay only once you’ve approved a proposal. If the job isn’t a good fit for us, we’ll say so and, where we can, suggest who might suit you better.
Who should join the first call from our side?
Whoever can describe the goal and make decisions, which is often the owner. If someone else looks after your website or marketing day to day, bring them too: they know where things stand.
Cost and payment
Cost and payment
There’s no price list, because scope varies too much between businesses for one to be honest. These answers explain how quotes, payments and running costs work instead, so that nothing on an invoice ever comes as a surprise to you.
How are projects priced?
Websites, landing pages and automation set-ups are quoted as a fixed price for a written scope. Ongoing work, such as campaign management, SEO or a care plan, is a monthly fee. Ad spend is always separate and paid by you directly to Google or Meta. Each proposal states which of these applies to each part of the work.
How do payments work?
The proposal sets out the stages, typically a part at the start and the rest at agreed milestones up to launch. Monthly work is invoiced at the start of each month. Every invoice names the stage it covers, so you can match it against the proposal.
How can I pay?
Clients in India usually pay by bank transfer or UPI. Clients abroad pay by international bank transfer, in the currency agreed in the proposal. Our bank details are confirmed in writing with the first invoice, and we will never ask you to pay a different account in a message.
Are there costs besides your fee?
Sometimes, and the proposal lists them: domain and hosting, paid plugins or themes, software subscriptions, WhatsApp message charges and ad spend. The providers bill these to you, in your name, so you always see exactly what they cost.
What if the project grows halfway through?
Then the price grows only with your agreement. Each addition gets its own short quote, and nothing extra is started until you say yes. An addition that replaces something already in scope can sometimes be swapped at no extra cost.

Websites
Websites
Questions about designing and building a site, from how many pages you need to what Google will see. The web design and development page covers what’s included, the platforms we use and how we measure results in more depth.
How many pages will my website need?
As many as there are distinct questions your customers ask, and no more. Many small businesses need a home page, a page for each main service, an about page and a contact page. Further pages earn their place by answering something real.
Can you work with my existing branding?
Yes. If you have a logo, colours and fonts, we design within them. If something doesn’t work well on screens, such as a pale colour that fails contrast checks, we’ll suggest a light adjustment and explain why, and the decision is yours.
Will my website show up on Google?
It will be built so Google can find, read and understand it: clean code, fast pages, a sitemap, descriptive titles and structured data. Where it ranks depends on competition and content, and that’s the work SEO takes on. Search Console is set up at launch, so you can see how Google treats each page.
Do you build online stores?
Yes, on Shopify or WooCommerce, with payments, delivery rules, tax settings and order emails set up and tested before launch. Which platform suits depends on the size of the catalogue and who will run the store day to day.
Can I see the site before it goes live?
Yes. You review it at a private preview address, on your own phone and computer, before launch. Nothing goes live until you approve it. The preview address is hidden from search engines, so the unfinished site never appears in results.
Marketing
Marketing
Questions about advertising and search: how the two differ, whether you need a website first, who writes the ads and how lead quality is checked. The performance marketing page explains our approach, the numbers we report and the tools we use in full.
What’s the difference between SEO and paid ads?
Paid ads put you at the top of results today, for as long as you pay for each click. SEO earns unpaid visibility over months, and keeps working when the work slows. Many businesses use both, with ads covering the months SEO takes to build.
Do I need a website to advertise?
Not always. Meta can collect leads in a form inside Facebook or Instagram, and Google can take calls straight from an ad. A fast page that answers questions still gives people somewhere to check you out, and it’s the one asset you fully control.
Who writes the ads?
We do: headlines, descriptions and the words on image ads, all approved by you before they run. If your industry has rules on what ads may claim, as healthcare and finance do, we follow them and check the wording with you. Images come from your own photos where possible, since they show the real business.
How do I know the leads are real?
We check. Duplicates are removed, obvious spam is filtered out and every lead is linked to the campaign it came from. Your feedback on which leads were serious then steers spending away from the sources that waste your time.
Automation
Automation
Questions about AI assistants and workflows: what your customers see, what connects to what, and how much control you keep. The AI automation page covers what we build, how it’s tested before customers see it and what it costs to run.
Do my customers have to install anything?
No. A website assistant works in the browser, and a WhatsApp assistant works inside the WhatsApp your customers already use. They message you exactly as they do today. On a website, the chat window loads only when someone opens it, so it doesn’t slow the page for everyone else.
Can automation work with the software I already use?
Usually. Most CRMs, calendars, accounting tools and spreadsheets can send and receive data through connections called APIs. We check yours before quoting, and tell you if something can’t be connected cleanly. Where no connection exists, a shared spreadsheet or inbox can often act as the bridge.
Can I see what the assistant says to customers?
Yes. Every conversation is logged where you can read it, and you can change the approved answers whenever you like. The assistant works from the new version straight away. A weekly summary also points out conversations worth a look, such as complaints or unusual requests.
Can I switch the assistant off?
Yes, at any time, and messages then go straight to your team as they did before. We’ll show you how at handover, so you never need us to do it.
Next step
Still weighing up which service to start with?
Tell us what’s going wrong, in your own words. We’ll suggest where to begin and send a written quote for that first step.
Working remotely
Working remotely
Much of our work can happen remotely, wherever the client is. These answers cover time zones, meetings, sharing files and what happens if something breaks while we’re offline. The How we work page sets out every stage of a project in more detail.
Which time zone do you work in?
India Standard Time, UTC+5:30, all year round, since India doesn’t change its clocks. That puts our working day four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of the UK, and nine and a half to ten and a half ahead of the US East Coast, depending on the season. Regular call times sit in the hours we share.
Do we ever need to meet in person?
No. Everything from the first call to the handover can happen by video, phone, WhatsApp and email. Clients in or visiting Guwahati are welcome to meet us at Beltola Tiniali by appointment.
How do we share files and feedback?
Through shared documents you can comment on line by line, and design links you can mark up in a browser. Large files go through a shared drive rather than email or WhatsApp, so nothing gets lost.
What if something goes wrong while you’re offline?
For sites on a care plan, monitoring raises an alert whatever the hour, and the fix starts as soon as someone can act on it. You’ll also have a phone number for anything urgent, agreed at kick-off.
Security and privacy
Security and privacy
Questions about your accounts, your data and your customers’ data. In short, you own everything, we use the least access that works, and nothing sensitive travels through chat messages. The answers below explain how each of those works in practice.
Will you need my passwords?
Rarely. Most platforms let you invite us with our own login and a limited role, which you can remove at any time. Where a shared login can’t be avoided, it goes through a password manager, never a message.
Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes. A reasonable NDA is fine before you share anything confidential, and we treat what you tell us as confidential either way. If you don’t have one, a short confidentiality clause in the proposal can do the same job.
How do you protect my customers’ data?
By collecting as little as possible, keeping it in your own accounts and limiting who can see it. We design projects with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act in mind and, for customers in the UK or EU, the GDPR, and flag anything that needs a privacy notice or consent.
Does this website use cookies or tracking?
No. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies when you visit. The enquiry form sends your message to our inbox and nowhere else; the privacy policy has the details.
Support
Support
What happens after launch, and what it costs to keep things running well. Support is optional, and nothing we build depends on it to keep working, so you can decide once you’ve seen the first results for yourself.
What happens if my website goes down?
Call us. On a care plan we’re alerted automatically and often know before you do; without one, we’ll still help and quote the time first. Problems with the hosting itself are raised with the host on your behalf.
Can you make small changes after launch?
Yes. On a care plan, small changes are included up to an agreed amount each month. Otherwise each change is quoted before we make it, as with any other work. Larger changes, such as a new section or a redesigned page, are quoted as small projects.
Do you offer training?
Every handover includes a walkthrough for whoever will run the site, the campaigns or the assistant. It’s recorded, so new staff can watch it later without anyone repeating it.
Do you look after sites you didn’t build?
Yes. We review the site first and say plainly what we can support and what needs fixing before we take it on. Common problems are outdated plugins, missing backups or a theme that can’t be updated safely. Some sites cost less to rebuild than to maintain, and we’ll tell you if yours is one of them.
